Class Announcements Countywide Art ShowStudent work from Mullen Elementary.
![]() KindergartenArt history is the focus in kindergarten classes. We are talking about Picasso and Matisse, or "Pigasso and Mootisse". Students are creating portraits in the style of Picasso and a still-life in the style of Matisse.
![]() First GradeFirst grade students are pretending they are bugs "In the Tall, Tall Grass". We are stamping bugs and drawing the grass. ![]() Second GradeWe are learning about animals and their shapes and colors. Students are creating animals from paper and putting them in their habitats.
![]() Third GradeThird graders are learning how to draw bodies in motion while studying the art of Andy Warhol. The final project in this lesson will be to create a person out of clay and paint it.
![]() Fourth GradeFourth graders are combining math and art by creating yarn weavings that show radial symmetry.
![]() Fifth GradeAs the year winds down, fifth graders are drawing self-portraits to display in the hallway for their end of year celebration.
